Cole Philhower

June 27th, 2014 Kettle Moraine and the Lacrosse family lost a shining star in Cole Philhower. Cole was a gifted student-athlete and an accomplished Lacrosse player. Cole played lacrosse for 7 years at kettle Moraine including 4 years on Varsity. He had committed to play lacrosse and was accepted by Benedctine University in Chicago, where he also planned to major in business.

Cole was a teammate 1st and a player 2nd, he was the 1st one there to help a friend, whether that was a ride to practice, a roll of tape or some money for a drink. Cole was an a spoken and unspoken leader and an example in the way he treated his coaches, teammates and friends.

In Cole’s memory the Kettle Moraine Lacrosse Club is proud to recognize a boy’s lacrosse player annually with the Cole Philhower Leadership Award. This award is presented to the Varsity player who best exemplifies the defining characteristics of Cole.

This special award is made possible through the Cole Philhower Scholarship Fund. The recipient of the award will be presented with the Cole Philhower Leadership Trophy and a $1500 scholarship.
